Natalie MacMahon is a filmmaker based in Berlin. She has enjoyed success at international film festivals in recent years with her short films and web series’, most notably ‘Universala Amrakonto/A Universal Love Story‘ an Esperanto fantasy drama. Given her passion as a translator and the reception by Esperanto enthusiasts for A Universal Love Story, MacMahon’s latest project will also feature Esperanto elements.
‘Malsano Nomata Amo/A Disease Called Love‘ is not a love story, but a story about love. It is an anti-love story about a soceity where love has become a crime and Esperanto a forbidden language, only used by those who don’t follow the rules despite all consequences.
Natalie has recently set up a Patreon for Malsano Nomata Amo where Patrons can support the project for as little as $5/month, with exclusive updates and benefits.
